Man your 98 was sweet! Those 37s an 20s? What all was done to it?

35's and 20's

Truck had:

6" Rough country with 3" UCA's

20" KMC Hoss 35" Mud Grapplers

2" cowl, 99-06 rear bumper, 454 SS front, rear door handles, LED's in and out of the truck, tow mirrors

05 Escalade 10 way power buckets with 05 Silverado flip console, 2 12" kicker subs, kenwood door speakers and head unit, alpine amp

Detroit tru-trac out back, built tranny with corvette clutches and bands, corvette servo, true duals, K&N CAI

 

I'm sure im missing a lot of little things but that's the main stuff haha

 

 

How far out do the wheels stick? Would you be able to take a pic down the side.

That looks really nice! I have to ask, any shake or vibration on the HW when going over 70?

 

No shakes or vibrations. Mcgaughy's build excellent lifts although I ordered the lift for a friend the day they were released and he ended up going to a 7-9" kit so I bought this 4" off him and it was lacking instructions.

Just joined the forum last night and so far its great! I've had my 2014 for 10 weeks now and I'm loving it! I made a huge decision to sell my 98 that I bought when I was 16 and built from the ground up over the last 5 years but now I couldn't be happier that I decided to sell and buy a 14'

 

From the day I bought it to how it was when I sold it.

2014 the day I brought it home. LT2 - 8" screen with nav, dual digital climate control, trailer brakes and heated and power seats.

2 weeks later installed my 4" Mcgaughy kit and temporary 20's and 33's

Following week my 20X10 Ultra Predator's and 305/55/20 trail grapplers arrived as well as my tonneau cover

Last week I installed a Spintech 9000 muffler to a 5" tip axle dump. Havnt had a chance to get a picture of the set up but sounds awesome and has improved my fuel mileage 1L/100km

Those wheels sure do look very familiar. Lol.

I had seen predators on one truck in my life and since I've had them on I've seen 4..guess theyre more common than I thought

Did you have to trim at all? Can you take some pics of the clearances at full lock each way and pics of your angles?

I didn't trim but I do scrub at full lock depending on where im driving on the back black plastic cap on the fender bottom. Driving in a parking lot and normal driving is fine, backing out of an area where the ground isn't flat you can hear it scrub but I havnt found the need to have to trim. I will go take some pictures of my angles for you.

Thanks for the pictures. I just have a few more questions. How big is the lip on the rims? and does the lift drop the dif and keep factory angels and increase the track width? thanks again

Yes the kit comes with diff drop brackets. angles are still decent and I do not think that it increases the track width. I'm going to say the lip on my rim is between 4-5" but I will measure to double check

      I have thought an EV might have some practical value in extending the life of the ICE members of ones fleet. Now....I'm convinced of it. I've been letting my better half access Raven (Mitsubishi Mirage) for her needs while Dizzy has been in the shop. Being the fuel freak I am and given the fact Raven is capable of over 60 mpg in clean air on a warm day I was taken back by the wife's ability to take a car that had used a half a tank of gas that to that point had returned a value of 57 mpg and return in with a decimating 51 mpg for that same tank in that same day in a 15 mile round trip of short hop errands and a stop in the drive through at Micky D's.  😱   Trust me on this. It would take the remainder of that tank driven on the highway to return that tank to just 54 mpg. This is not a Mitsubishi issue. This is an ICE issue that is magnified in vehicles capable of such high fuel economy values. On a percentage basis your 1500 does the same thing. Short hopping an ICE consumes a good deal more fuel and in doing so provides zero additional useable outputs. That entire volume of fuel is wasted in diluting the cylinder walls oil films, creating crankcase moisture and acid content and the resultant wear.    Enter the SLATE. All of that is avoided and the ICE's advantage in range and made useful at reduced wear for your ICE!   Kind'a cool.

      Back in the day people would buy cars based on performance. The charger posted does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. And it’s fully loaded.  It has a decent warranty and will fit most anyone’s needs. Remember the original Hemi? 90 day warranty. 25K mini truck or that car? I’d go with the car. It wouldn’t fit my perimeter. If I could just talk my wife out of her Genesis. It would be perfect for her.

      The Charger EV was stillborn. Wrong car at the wrong price for Dodge's intended audience. Now at a good price with fire-sale discounts, and still not selling, it's still very much the wrong car. Again, Dodge's intended audience. I believe a lot of Stellantis' EV blunders were all under Tavares' regime at Stellantis...the board convinced him to move on. Neat car, just wasn't received on the level that would sustain mass production.   Dodge is headed in a better direction for its core business. I didn't think there was anything left to get excited about re: the Durango after its 15 year run, but they're just now releasing a 392 version that should price out in the low 40's. Nicely done. I'm not sure I would touch anything Stellantis makes with a 10' pole these days, but the Durango is still mostly parts designed like 3 parent companies ago so maybe it's still OK?
