Newbie Question

If this has already been answered somewhere, I apologize for the repeat. But I could not find this in a search.

 

I have new 2014 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LTZ 4x4. On the left side of the steering wheel, you have the cruise control buttons, the heated wheel button, and another button I cannot identify. Been in the manual and still cannot figure out what it is for. Does it turn on a following distance option for the cruise control like some Mercedes and BMWs do? I wanted to ask my salesman, but he left the dealership.

 

Anyone know what this does? I can include a pic if you like.

Do you have the driver alert package ? Maybe it has something to do with that ? I just have the 4 for the cruise and one for the heated steering wheel.

Now I just need to figure out how to shut off that damn vibrating seat. Really annoying. But, overall, love the truck.

Yes, I do have the driver alert package. I am going to assume the first responder was correct.

 

I'll press it tomorrow and see what happens.

The lane departure warning vibrating seat shuts off with toggle below the heater/air-con controls. It's also tied into your park assist.

You i believe you can change it from vibration to beeps in the My Link Settings

Not a dumb question at all. I had same issue when I got my truck. The other responses have told you how to identify and correct. They are right on.
