Looking to get new tires for my 2500HD, found the Duratrac for $191 a piece and the Grabber AT2 for $199 a piece on 4wheelparts.com in 285/75/16 size. Anybody have any preference why I should pick one over the other? I can't decide but am leaning towards the Grabber AT2. Anybody run either of these? Thoughts? Pics?

Had the Generals on my Tacoma and was pleased with them. Duratracs are supposed to be an excellent tire but I heard they wear fast.

I just put my Duratrac's on last week so I really don't have much to offer, they are a little on the loud side but after taking the "Pig" though some mud I think that I can live with the noise. I was told to keep them rotated and you don't have much problems with them. :jester:

I run Duratrac's on my Jeep, I have about 15,000 miles on them so far. Not real noisy but you can hear them. They are wearing really well I think. I like them. I will put them on my Superduty once it is ready for new shoes

Only have about 150 miles on the generals so no feedback yet. Love the look of them though. They're a tiny bit louder than what I remember from the 20 miles I put on the stock tire. I've also heard some stones hitting the wheel wells while driving around town. From what I've read they're known to throw rocks. A decent at of mud flaps might be a good idea if that's the case.

I just bought the 265/70/17 OEM size for my 08 Silverado. I read a bunch of reviews on Tirerack.com. had a rebate today and got them for 135.00 a tire so a cheaper version of what was on my truck when I bought it the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. I will update once i get them mounted and see how i like them. They have a way more aggressive look than stock. I did get good life on my current tires, I bought it with 18k and i am nearly at 80 and they still have decent tread.

Currently for sale at Walmart.com for 155/tire. Tirerack.com had them at 134.00 a tire and eligible for a rebate of 50 bucks or a set of headphones. Shipped from IN to Central IL four tires cost 712.00. I have driven on highway with them around 60 mph and just around town. Smooth, no noticible increase in road noise. No real difference in MPG but it's already bad enough in one of these trucks. I have a several hundred mile trip planned next week to Northern WI and will know all about them at end of that trip. Very good looking tire, much more aggressive look than OEM. I will try to post some pics too.

Stick with the Goodyear. General's warranty service is for shit.

So after about 2000km I have zero complaints. Several hundred kilometres of gravel roads convinced me to replace the weathertech mud guards for longer heavier duty ones. Gravel still goes flying but it ain't chipping the hell out of my truck anymore. I've also noticed people don't follow that closely [emoji6].

The ride is pretty smooth and the sidewall feels stiff. I got up to 100mph once and there were no vibrations or loud road noise. I run the LT275/65/18s at 50 psi on the 1500 and should get some mud experience over the next two weeks. Overall pretty happy with them considering they were only $900.

Any lift/level on your truck?

Nope. Stock suspension.

Looks good! Any rubbing at full lock? Reverse? How nescessary do you think the extended mud guards are given the treat pattern?

I have the Duratrac tires in a 285-60/20 on my LML Duramax 2014 crew cab 4wd. I have about 18,000 on them and they have been rotated about every 5-6,000 miles. They seem to be holding up as well I expected. I carry an ATV/grizzly 700 in the back everyday for work so that doesn't help having an extra 800# riding. I believe I should be able to get 40k out of them.
