I left the hosue with the family and the camera worked fine. When we were coming home I was backing out of my spot and my backup camera wont come on. Turned the truck off and back on, doesn;t come on. The screen doesn't go blank, it just shows the regular radio screen and never tries to switch to the camera view. When I got home I tried again, and tried shutting down and starting back up and still nothing. Any ideas anyone? This is the iceing on the cake with this truck.

Check your back up lights/fuse. When I did the LED back up light replace they blew my fuse 5 days after installing them and it took out my camera. Needless to say I'm back with the stock lights.

Screen should receive signal, that is 12v from backup light from reverse lights.

if the radio is not shifting into reverse screen, I would assume your radio is not receiving 12v from reverse,

this sounds like a switch, or fuse, or radio died inside.

Reverse camera just sends image once reverse light 12v is engauged, I would assume?

Isn't there something in the setup menu for this as well. Maybe it got reset somehow. Worth a check.

Well, now it's working again. Whatever causes it to switch on when you put it in reverse stopped working, there's a switch there somewhere. For now it's working, lets hope it stays that way. I don't now about this truck.

I have a 2014 Silverado and when I put it in reverse the screen just turns gray you can barely see anything and I have no clue on what’s wrong with it

2017 Silverado radio screen goes blue when I put the vehicle in reverse. There is a message on the screen that says backup camera needs service. Is the camera bad or something in between?

Check fuse 31 (acc/run crank) under the drivers side interior fuse panel. I was going crazy trying to troubleshoot this. Reverse lights and all the parking lights worked fine. Ended up swapping a camera even to no avail. Cleaned the plug till I could eat off of it. Sure enough I saw a random post about the accessory fuse on an YouTube video and decided to look and it was blown. Maybe the dashcam and phone charger was a bit too much for the 10amp fuse. I put the spare 15 amp in and it works like a charm
