SLT center console squeek....

I know the squeaks and rattles issue is a broad topic. My truck has the usual rock hitting the windshield sound, seat moving side to side (fixed with hose clamps). My seat also sounds like a creaking door from a 70 year old house anytime I shift my weight on it.

 

New issue now, anytime I put my arm on the center console armrest the top squeaks, absolutely drives my crazy. It also does it if a passenger puts the arm on the rest. From what I can see it seems the be the plastic assembly that the console latches onto when closed. Any suggestions ?

Had the same problem. Apply anti friction tape to the lower half of the latch.Not sure where you can buy it. Most dealers should have some. It's almost clear about 1/2" wide. You need less than an inch. Put it right on the area that the top latch hooks, folding under.

@CbraSvt01 did you ever figure out if that fixed the squeak? I am having the same problem. Truck is so quiet, it hear it all the time.
