Lift&tires

Just looking for a few ideas/opinions. I haven't lifted the past few silverados I have owned for fear of losing the smooth ride. I have the 70+ shake, so I'm thinking gm can't fix it, I might as well lift it, and put the tires I want. At least if its going to shake, I might as well have the look I want. Thinking 3", with 33/12.50/20, or 305/55/20. Thank you in advance for the help

Here this should get you started - http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/161228-post-your-2014-wheeltire-set-up/

Also check out the Suspension lift and level kit threads that are pinned for info on lifting your truck!!

In the future you may want to try out the search bar, its much quicker than waiting for a reply from other members!!!

Good luck with your 70+ mph shake!!

GM must be getting some batches of bad tires. Probably the cheapest bidder got the contract. Glad you fixed your vibe.

Thanks Robo, did a 3.5 lift, and new sneakers, no more shake!!

Sean, did you have the rear 70+ vibration? Did you have any warranty work done for your vibration, or just swap to the Terra Grapplers? Thanks!

Yes, had the 70+ shake, dealer swapped 2 gy for 2 new gy, road forced, still shaking. Put 4 new Michelin, no shake for about 5,000 miles, shake came back, I decided to lift it, change wheels, tires, shake gone again.

Wow, looks killer! Yeah I am relatively certain mine is all tires. I am of the same opinion you are and if is gonna shake might as well lift it and put bigger tires on it. Hopefully your's stays vibration free! What lift did you go with? Thanks!

A local wheel shop installed a rough country 3½" suspension lift. They also said I was going to need a 1½" body lift to fit the tires I wanted, I said do the suspension, as I didn't want them going any higher. Worked out good
