There is a topic about the dealer Kicker sub.. apparently there is one for both crew and double cab.

I put my base knob down in the map pocket along the seat

So far I've routed my RLC along the right side and under passenger seat to the center console. I haven't decided where or how I want to put it yet, so for the meantime its resting just outside of the lower lockable center console until I decide where I want it.

Has anyone experienced the powered Kicker setup in person? I'm rocking an SLE with the standard, non-bose system and am REALLY missing out on my bump. Found one from a GM dealer on eBay for $600, which I think is reasonable but I sure would like to hear some feedback before dropping the coin. Anybody?

I found the same one and also debating on it.

$600 is cheap. Are you sure that's not the one for the Bose systems? The one for the Bose systems doesn't come with an amp and it retails at $750 or so. The one for non-Bose comes with an amp and retails for $1100 or so. I've seen the Bose system for $550/$600 and the other for $850 or so, but $600 for the non-Bose seems fishy.

I didn't know there was a specific kit for the trucks with Bose systems... anyone have that link or pn?

Looks like there are 2 options for the non-bose systems with a double cab (I'm sure its the same for the crew) for an all-in-one setup that is plug and play. The kicker "substage" and "powerstage". These links were posted earlier in the thread but here they are again.

The substage has a 200 Watt RMS sub amp and 10" sub built into the enclosure. Sells for 699.99 at Crutchfield:

The Soundstage has a 200 Watt RMS sub amp, 10" sub and Processor/amp module (assuming for door speakers) costs 1249.99 at crutchfield:

Looks like a decent pair of kits. I think I'm going to go for the 699.99 one without the processor/amp module for the door speakers. Install looks pretty easy too.

I sure these Kickers are good .. but for $1,250 you could have your local audio shop build you something 2x better.

I sent the guy a message and he said it does come with a AMP and install kit.

$700 is kinda steep for what you get. And you have to tear apart your dash. My setup that you can find at the beginning of this thread cost about the same and I'm confident that the quality of the JL is much higher then the Kicker setup. You also have a lot more flexibility if you use separate components. IE you can get a multichannel amp and add upgraded door/dash speakers in the future. Also you can piece a component system together for much less depending on what components you choose. Just my .02.

My bad. Both sets come with amps for the subs, but the non-Bose system comes with a second DSP 400W amp for the other speakers.

Here's the link to GM's info.

And here's the link to the specifics at Kicker Audio. They say the cheaper set will work with either the standard or Bose radios, but the premium setup (200/400W) will only work with non-Bose.

Thanks for the feedback guys, even though it doesn't sound like anyone has actually had a chance to jam it yet. I know you can get more bump and/or quality for the $$$ but I was looking at A) It's plug and play, the amp mounts up under the dash and leaves everything looking factory and B) The box is very compact (for the CC anyways). It only takes up the space underneath the small jumpseat on the passenger side as opposed to taking up all of the underseat floorspace like the JL box I had previously looked at. I would prefer to keep it LOOKING factory, just want it to play a little harder/louder.

And for the record, the $600 was specifically for just the powered sub, and it was from a GM dealer who has an ebay store. I have purchased other factory equipment in similar situations and have never had a problem. Again, if anyone has a chance to listen to it OR is interested in trying to talk Kicker into a group buy, hit me up. I'm probably in!!

Cheers

Anyone have pics of the signal taps yet? I will be adding 2 JL 12TW3-D4's soon and wanted to know about the best place to tap, I've got the 6.2l Denali if the wiring is any different.

I'm assuming Denali has BOSE? I have base in my Silverado. I totally spaced on getting the pic of my taps to go along with my prior post. Once I drive the company's crap Dodge Ram back home I'll snap a pic.
