Looking to see if anyone had these problems.

We own an 02 6 liter 2500hd and a 03 6.6 liter 2500hd. 02 has 10'000 more miles. "02" bought used from her company. "03" purchased new. Did 03s have more share of there problems.

"03" problems

Hydro motor replaced, leaked

Transfer case replaced, pump rub

Transfer case switch replaced

Two front wheel bearings replaced

Two right power window regulators replaced

Steering clunk, now working on that

Trans indicator light getting dim in cluster, fixed

Mirror temp/compass quit, replaced

Third set of batteries

"02" problems

NOTHING! Same battery we got with it 8 years ago!

Any answers to this situation?

I had the steering clunk on my 02. I changed it out with a new Dorman, can't remember the part number, but it fixed it and works nice and smooth now. I got it off Amazon. not sure if this is the correct one for your application. check part number to make sure.

My 01 has had the same "maintenance" items....minus the transfer case replacement. I also have almost 300,000 miles now. I have the 6.0, and I did the GM required fuel pump replacement at 150,000.

What was the maintenance performed on the 02 before you bought it? Maybe they did a bunch of repairs before you got it....and now it looks like nothing is wrong with it.

02 came from company where wife worked. All it had was oil changes done. New green steering shaft bearing is here, waiting for the Dorman shaft. My 03 has 125,000 miles and no injectors yet. Can't wait for that expense.

My buddy had an 03 6 liter and he replaced the speedo cluster years ago. Never had any of the other problems I had.

The 03 windows go up real slow on mine. His and my wife's go up fast like they should. Just waiting to replace another regulator.

Hmm, I'd say you just ran into one with some quirks. None of that seems out of the ordinary...especially since they are both over 10 years old now. I'd definitely hang onto the 02 since it seems to be problem free!

Normal GM maintenance lol. When I worked for the dealer, at the time those trucks woulda been under warranty, we had a pile of those exact parts you listed.
