Morimoto Sierra Spec HID

Well I had a shop attempt to put this kit in yesterday and they didn't have any luck. he had them installed and they would work for about 30 or 45 seconds then get really dim. he got a lot of flickering as well. so finally after 2 hours of working on it he finally just gave up and took them out. which was fine with me if they're not working properly. pretty bummed about this. i guess i'll be sending these back and looking into other options...btw i believe the guy knew what he was doing. he just built a truck and took it to SEMA and has had experience with these lights before...

I am an engineer and this is my third HID kit from TRS. I do not believe these kits are hit and miss. I truly believe it is the installers, but defective parts such as the ballasts, happens sometimes.

It's a voltage issue, but it could be a lot of different things. There could be lose connection, not hooked up correctly, the relay or the ballasts might not be properly grounded, the capacitor could be defective, the relay could be defective, the ballasts could be defective, ect. The best way to try to diagnose the issue is to start at the bulbs and work your way back. Make sure everything is like it should be. You could try hooking one ballast up at a time and see what happens and so on.
