Just ordered my kit as well using the code above. Now looking for some 5000k fog light bulbs!

 

 

How did you spec your order out? So many options in the drop downs, im lost.........

Its actually pretty bullet proof. Out of the 5 drop downs only 2 actually have selections available to them.

 

Under "HID Ballasts" I chose the 35w over the 55w. I've read some of the members having fears that the 55w ballast might cause some damage to the headlight due to its higher heat output. Don't know if there are any other pros/cons other than that.

 

Under compatible "9012 Hid Bulbs" just choose what light color/output you want.

From what other members have said on here 4300k is equal to stock color. 5000k is pure white with no blue tint. 6000k is white with a blue tint to it.

 

Nothing else to choose after that.

lol, I literally ordered the exact same ones a few minutes after putting in my hid order. I also ordered the license plate bulbs from vled as well. So excited.

Which license plate bulbs did you order?

I have this kit in the 3five 5k. Works great. I've used them a couple months with no issues. Thanks toyotanation! Haha

I would like to revisit this question. I believe the OP is correct. In the 2014+ sierra SLT with the projector headlights and the LED strips above and below the headlight do not have the headlight bulb run as a DRL. So in theory for us with these headlights I am not sure you would need the HD harness?

Thoughts?

Can anyone confirm this? My kit arrives tomorrow and I am thinking seriously about just using the capicitors and not the HD relay. I can't understand why it is needed if you have an SLT with the LED DRL's

 

I have run HID's in my two previos trucks (03 Sierra, 07 Avalanche) and never had to run a relay!

It's looking like you may just have to do it and find out for yourself. After install if you'd be so kindly to report back, as I'm interested in the answer as well.

I chose those specific license plate bulbs over the other brighter ones they offered because I was afraid the others were going to be too bright. These should be fine and put out the same if not more light output than the oem ones, just in 5000k white of course.

 

If I get them this week I'll snap some before/after pictures

I have to recommend some other people try these JDM ASTAR lights. I ordered every bulb except for my head lights in one of my other cars and I'm very impressed with the outcome. They are also less than half the price. They certainly don't compete with the V3 super bright bulbs VLED offers, but for stock replacements they are very good. The 194 here is about 5 to 6 times as bright as the old normal 194s I took out of my dome light.

I have ordered a set of 921's for my cargo, and two sets of 7443's for my rears. They should be here early next week.
