Can Magnetic Ride Control be retrofitted to our trucks?

You guys can't really tell him it's not going to work if no one knows what the system is made up of. All he wants is part numbers and to figure out if it is doable or not. I say go for it and let us know how it turns out. This may be something ppl start doing down the road. 3000 for the smoothest riding truck? I can see a lot of ppl paying for that.

If the harness isn't available, what's the point?

Back in '03 I purchased an Avalanche but didn't get the rear seat entertainment system, but really wanted it. So I went through A LOT of bs to install the oem system. New headliner, wire harness for the unit and huge wire harness that I practically had to remove the whole dash to install, not to mention I had to take it to a reluctant dealer so they could program the BCM to tell it I had the RSE. It was a total pita including numerous cuts to my hands from being inside the dash. I can't imagine trying to add Mag Ride to a '14, but ya know, ignorance is bliss!

I hear what everyone is saying but you are all missing my point....it can be done and who can get the part numbers. I wouldn't trade my truck in just for magnetic ride control. My truck is exactly what I want and the way I wanted it.....just looking to up the ride a little, that's all.

What part of the harness is not available did you miss?

Google it. There some banter about retrofitting mag-lev systems in other GM vehicles. But I never found where someone did it. Some old stuff mentioned the BCM being separate for it.

No...It CAN'T be done. You can't buy the most crucial part to do it, and thats the chassis wiring harness. Just because you can buy most of the parts, most likely, you can't get all the stuff to talk to eachother.

Anything can be done. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. In the end though, it would be cheaper to trade in your "perfectly" spec'd truck on a 2015 Denali, which would be spec'd out just as nice, or even better.

The part numbers won't tell you anything. Shocks (front and rear, two or three part numbers per shock depending on suspension codes), level sensors, the electronic suspension controller, chassis harness...the BCM is a different part # between a 2014 and 2015. And on top of that, how much $$$ in labor to swap everything, and then, who says it will all just program to work?

I didn't know the wiring harness isn't available, but either way "if there is a will, there is a way" is all I'm saying. Not trying to argue anything because i don't care. I'm not trying to do this retrofit, but in my honest opinion i do think it can be done but yes it will take time and a lot of money AND SOMEONE TO BE THE FIRST TO FIGURE IT OUT.

The actual job could be done, but as stated the wiring harness isn't available for sell so right now it can't, unless you custom make a harness.

I'm all for doing the impossible, but my objection is from another angle- Is the magnetic ride suspension really that much better? If when buying my truck it was offered as a $2000 option I probably would laugh in my salesman's face, probably same result for under a grand.
