Recommended Posts

I need to recheck the lug nuts on my wheels since i just brought new tires.  How do i remove the center caps?  I only had my truck for 3 or 4 months now and i'm learning alot about it on here.  I love this place!

Thanks,

On the stock aluminum wheels, twist the black plastic lug pieces in the center cap like you would remove regular lug nuts (same wrench size as lug nuts).  With all 6 undone, the cap will come right off. :thumb:

When you go t put them back on, look at the inside of the cap and the rim.  There is a small tab on the cap that lines up with a slot on the rim so it will fit right.  I know some who have lost center caps beause the didn't line those up and it didn't quite fit like it was suppse to.  :thumb:

I own a truck...it's not for work...

it doesn't tow a lot...it doesn't haul a lot in the bed...

but it's mine to use as I see fit.

Tom, I see an official GM-Trucks creed there. :nono:  :thumb:
