Do you disable remote entry lighting with HID's to not kill ballas

Should I turn off the remote entry lighting where the headlights come on when unlocking the doors. Will this reduce like of my ballasts? Also should I disable where the light stay on a minute after I shut it off.

 

I have the Morimoto HID installed for 6 months and couple weeks ago had some load buzzing occasionally then had driver side light not come on. The light failing to start happened 3 times in a week. I just turned lights off then on and both came on. I checked my ground and filed some paint off a week ago where I have it grounded and haven't had any more issues since. Retrofit Source told me to swap sides on the ballasts to determine what may need replacing. I switched them today. No issues tonight and no buzzing.

I think the ground may have been the problem but time will tell.

I have some no name brand cheap HID 35w, been a few month now and no issues. I am sure your HID will last longer than mine ;)
