Daly Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I ordered Westin 6" oval steps for my last truck, a 2012 Silverado extended cab. But they never got installed, traded the truck in before I installed them. Now I have them sitting in my garage, and I'm trying to sell them, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to install 07-13 steps on a 2014 truck?
baggedlvintegra Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Yes the rocker panel step mounts are the same from 07 - 15
Daly Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 What about the body mount steps, the Westin's mount between the body mounts… Are the frames truly that much alike, or do the newer style body mounts interfere with the mounting kit…
2017SierraSLT Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 The frames are virtually identical '07-'15 too..
smcgillis10 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I took the steps off a 2007 Avalanche and it bolted right up.
tom.boswell.79 Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I was going to swap the same Westin bars from my 2013 Sierra to my 2014 Silverado and the customizing shop said they checked and because of a change in the body panels they would not work. We were going to move my undercover flex tonneau cover too. It also would not fit. So, the car dealer ended up buying me a new cover and I bought the new step bars. You can always try it if you have the time and skills.
2017SierraSLT Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 It depends on the accessory manufacturer, but most GMT900 steps, bedliners, and tonneau covers will fit the K2XX trucks with little to no modification.
