Command Start While Running

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if it's possible to keep the truck running by using the command start. It's -30 and below this week and I'd like to keep the truck running when I have a quick stop to make. I could do it on my last car, and I can do it on the wifes SUV (but that's an aftermarket) but I can't seem to figure it out on the truck.

Thanks

Leave the key in the ignition take your spare key fob with you. Then you can lock the doors and have it continue to run.

Otherwise, you will need to turn the truck off, and hit the remote start button on the fob to start it back up.

I don't believe so from factory, my old aftermarket one I use to do it all the time, now i just get out and lock the truck and remote start it. Does the same thing just not quite as easy or efficient.

Remote start runs for 10 minutes. Before the 10 minutes is up, you can repeat the process and extend the run time another 10 minutes. Or, key minus the fob and lock the door.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience.

This won't work?
