Hit Curb - Any Damage?

I will start this off saying this is a pretty stupid question, but I trust the opinion of quite a few of you guys on here so I am going to ask anyway.

I was in a Target parking lot this weekend and there is kind of an s-shaped entrance barely wide enough for two cars. I was going through and another person decided it was a good idea for them to come through as well. I tried to give them room and wound up hitting my right rear tire on the curb pretty good. I think it went up on the curb and and dropped off because it felt like there was a good bump in there. Did this going less than 10mph.

I get out and inspect, tire is fine (just scuffed up) no visible damage to the rim and tire is still on bead. Check tire pressure throughout the day and it is holding air just fine, so the wheel and tire assembly itself is undamaged.

My question is: Is there anything I should check in the rear end area to see if everything is ok? Maybe a rear alignment check?

I know these trucks are tough, just want to take some precautionary measures to make sure I didn't screw up anything that will become an issue down the road.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah you're fine man this happens to a lot of people. No need to worry as long as you're holding air and there's no visible damage.

One day I was gazing to my left as I was driving and that caused me to drift to the left a little going about 45 MPH and my front left tire hopped up on the curb/median and came back down. Made an awful chirping noise. The truck seems fine though. I'm not too worried.

Worst that could have happened is you may have rattled your alignment a bit. But I've hopped curbs before without issue.

If it's still driving straight without any wobbles or wiggles. Should be fine.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you're worried, get someone to drive it on a straight road and you drive a car behind and look along side the truck to see if it's tracking straight.

It has to drive strait, that is why there is a (eye) on the axle/leafspring, lines up perfect and cannot pop out.

No such thing as a rear alignment on our trucks. If it's out...you've got big issues. But you're fine. Don't worry.

Good point. We do have solid rear axles anchored to the frame. An alignment is just in the front. I guess the worst thing would be tire damage....damage to the belts and stuff. Best thing to do is take it up to 70+ mph and see if you feel anything different. If the truck isn't pulling to any direction, you're fine. I've hit pot holes and other crap I guarantee is worse than a little curb hop. My 2007 was just fine.

You beat me to it.... that was my thought before I finished reading the original post.

You can hit a curb at 50 and if you don't bend the wheel or break a cord your fine.

I would not try it, would rattle your head pretty good.

Like everyone else popped the backend over a few curbs.. I've had to do it on purpose a few times just not enough room.

Mine gets way worse when I'm off the road ha ha.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys, I appreciate it! Yeah I think/hope I'm fine. I am just paranoid I think because my first truck got bought back by GM and this one has been fine so far - so I want to keep it that way and any little vibration or anything I feel I am sensitive to. I just figured I would pick your brains and fingers crossed I didn't mess something up internally in the rear end which I don't think is the case, would have had to have been a much harder impact most likely.
