transfer case and speedo recall

I've been informed by my dealer ship they can't do the update on a Saturday because the gm website isn't available to access to do this. that's pretty nice of gm not to allow the tech access on a Sat

no worries have it rebooked for Monday and a rental car they are providing also going to see if they can recalibrate for the lift n tires I'm getting bad millage right now mind u been using 4x4 all winter

I've only had 2 recalls done since I bought the truck in April, the others were done before purchase I would think. Well the day I had to bring it in was a Saturday because that was the soonest they would have a GM certified tech to be in. I forgot which one but one had to be done by a certified tech, not just anybody in service. I don't know if they had to access the GM website, but I'm sure they did. I would try another dealership.

Good they are getting you in, only bad is they cant change the tire size from the factory one. The only way is via custom programming or by using a hypertech programmer.

stereo recall next they had to order one and the transfer case recall u have to leave in 2 wheel drive when parked in our cold climate or it triggers a 4x4 error no recall program for it yet

bad reception mine couldnt be programmed so they ordered a new replacement

These gents are NOT recalls , they are a TSB , recalls are for safety related concerns , TSBs are repairs for the technician to do, not for veh owners , it's a fix that has been a PITA for GM , TSBs are not free after warranty is finished .

Transfer case is a recall, I just got a notice in the mail Wednesday. My truck has been kicking itself into neutral last couple of weeks and found the issue. They have an updated transfer case control module. Mine is going in Monday hopefully to fix it.

Correct the transfer case is an actual recall as it is a safety issue since the truck can go into and neutral and roll away.
