Having read through TSB #11-06-04-007B - Reduced Engine Power DTC P2135, it appears that this goes beyond a normal simple replace a sensor. There are plenty of opportunities to screw up changing the TPS. How sure are you in regards to every step and warning in this TSB? I know sometimes documentation is written as though the technician is just entering grade school, but, this one seems to be extra sensitive as well.

Are you driving the truck now? Or is it still sitting the driveway, unable to drive? If you are driving it, is it setting any codes?

Your post started with "was close to time for a new battery". What does that actually mean? Were you having other issues in addition to the DTC error?

yes truck is driveable ,no codes until i press throttle high and releass and it stays at 2500 rpm then it sets code p0507.. and no issues with battery other then at cold morning starts it seemed week at crank

On my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 I had the TPS fail on me at 52,000 miles, Since I was about 4 hours from home on the freeway when it happened, I limped it in to the Chevy Dealer(Reduced power mode). I have the 4.3L V6 in the 2011, but I know this same TPS on my truck, is also used on many other engines as well.

ECU had two Codes; P2135 and P0121. They replaced the TPS on the throttle body and per the Repair sheet they also "Reprogrammed the ECU" and "Reset the Idle" I have a bit over 79,000 miles on her now with no issues since.

When they replace my TPS my throttle acted normal just like before. I did not have the issues like your having, from what I understand any time the TPS or throttle body is replaced the Idle speed must be reset AKA "Throttle Learn Reset Procedure" with a scan tool that has that capability.

Yes thank you. After slowly reading the TSB again I saw the step relearn idle step , so I hooked up my scan tool and its ok. There is a GM special warranty on the tp sensor for up to 10 yrs 100,000 miles ! So there reimbursing me the part.

Does that also mean your truck is now idling correctly? If not, take it to dealer and have them fix under that warranty.

4.3 has a different throttle body than the LS engines. Different tps.
