There is a guy on a 1st gen camaro site that uses his first gen to tow regularly. I think he even towed a 50s GMC project truck once.

Agree 100% with the title of this thread. Some trucks are double what my parents paid for their brand new house in '71 ... in MASS! I personally don't think there's a single vehicle out there worth 5 figures, let alone 2/3rds of the way to SIX ...

 

My '07 was the first new vehicle I've ever bought. After the experience I've had, it's the last - I can guarantee that! Was paying close to $5-large a month with a $8-EXTRA-large down payment ... and now some trucks are DOUBLE that price. That's just stupid. But people pay it, so who am I to judge? Have at it! You won't have to worry about competition from me ...

Probably not many here that would want a Mercedes instead of their truck, I wouldn't.

 

Neither would I. Mercedes vehicles have never appealed to me.

 

Personally, I wanted a truck with bells/whistles and functionality that cars can't offer. IMO crew cab trucks are most versatile vehicles out there.
