I was on the fence with the Toyo ATII or the BFG KO2. I ended up going with the BFG's and have just shy of 1k on them and love them.

hows the ride on the BFGs?

I went with the bfg ko2. Have a little over 10,000 miles so far they've been reslly good in all the conditions I've been threw snow, ice, rain and a little dirt roads. No mud yet really. I went with 275/60/20. Lost about 2mpg , the ride to me is just as good as stock with the sr-a my wife hasn't said anything about the ride do far so it must be ok with her. I was thinking about the toyo as well but i took a chance with bfg. Im sure all the tires in this price range are good... i just happy that ko2 are vert quite. People havr been telling me they get loader with age... time will tell... gl

I've found that the Toyo MT's wear like iron.

When they get old, do they sound like iron?

Was that 2 mpg loss at the same time you leveled it? And what level are you running to fit those?

2.5 rc front only, did the level then tires a couple days later

I have Federal M/T. Got them for a smoking deal. I went with 33x12.5xr20

Ride great. Have a little road noise and from the people I talk to they are going to last about 45k if I drive nice. :D but that will never happen

Toyo Open Country ATII eXtreme. Rated a 65k mile tire, its aggressive enough for me while still affording a comfortable ride.

I'm a fan of the Toyo Open Country AT II's as well. It's a good running tire on the road (Moderately quiet) and being rated at 65k, you can't ask for much more.

I really liked the BFG KOs. Great traction, long tread life, and reasonably quiet.

Are these LT tires? E rated? If so, they are going to be heavy and that's prob where your mileage lost comes from...

hows the ride on the BFGs?

Awesome! They ride very similar to the stock Goodyears. I only get noise when i'm off the throttle and coasting to a stop. They are heavier than the stockers I can tell a bit while accelerating from a stop.

I'll be going toyo open country RTs but the Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s are another hybrid between AT/MT to look at. RTs have a 45,000 mile tread wear warranty and are from word of mouth built on the same carcass as the MT. Like the MT in 20" rim sizes it's a heavy pig. I'm moving to 17s and 58lb tires instead of 71lbs.

I was also curious about best AT tire for looks and miles. This thread gave a lot of good info. Anyone know the biggest tire size that will fit on a crew cab with 20" stock wheels and 2" RC level?
