Homelink or only Lear garage door opener in 2007-2013 trucks?

Has GM used Homelink, or only Lear garage door openers in the 2007-2013 GMT900 trucks?. I want swap out the Lear for Homelink and wonder if they have been used. If they have (Homelink), is there a different overhead console piece since Homelink only uses one light by the center button, rather than the three lights Lear uses. I have a 2011 Silverado LTZ

Sorry, I don't have any info for you on swapping out the Lear system for the Homelink system, but I do have question about programming the Lear system in my 2011 Sierra. I just put a new garage door opener in. It's one of those new Chamberlain's with the Q system, but I can't get it to program in my truck. I had no problems with my other car that uses Homelink and my old Chamberlain opener worked just fine, but this one will not take. Anyone else try to program one of these and get it to work? My guess is that's why GM switched back to Homelink in 2014. Sucks to have this feature and not be able to use it.

I had the same problem with the same garage door head programing my 2013 Yukon.

Look in your owners manual, and it will tell you a company to contact to purchase a small black square device that you plug into a wall near the garage head. After purchasing and installing this unit, I was easily able to pare it to the vehicle.

Sorry I could not be more specific.

Learcar2u.com......they will sell you a $25 receiver that wires in parallel with the wall mount pushbutton, and you're in business. Had to do this with my Marantec openers. The Marantec receiver in the openers still function with the Homelink in my wife's Traverse.

I too am having the problem; fail to program a Chamberlain Q system. I could not find anything to buy at Learcar2u.com

Part number? Link?

Thanks for the info everyone. Not sure I want to fork out more money when the opener came with a remote. I've never had problems pairing up the Homelink set up. Glad GM decided to switch back. Now if I could only talk my wife into letting me get a 2015 I'd be in business. :)

I am finding for Security + 2 older Homelink also require a repeater. Not just Lear Car2U systems.

For now I am using the included remotes. My built in remote will not work. I could not find any where on Learcar2u.com repeaters for sale at any price. $25 would be cheaper than extra remotes.
