Removing front rotor

Working on my 2006 GMC 2500HD 4WD. Can't get left front rotor off. Heat won't move it. Don't have large enough puller. Any suggestion. Thought maybe take bearing hub off and then use press to get rotor off hub.

Are you replacing the rotor? Beat the crap out of it with a big hammer. Hitting the front side will shock the rotor off the hub.

Lots of WD-40 and hit the back of the rotor. It's better to hit one side and then hit the other side and just go back and forth so it doesn't bind. Hitting the hub will also help as already suggested.

I had the same problem on my 09. Between the stud hold, there should be two little threaded holes. I want to say they are 5/16 inch course thread. Anyway, thread those bolts into the rotor and tighten them. They will bottom out against the hub and push the rotor off without you having to beat the h*ll out of it. Works like a charm.

This is what you need.

You mean like the 1st attachment? It was my granddaddy's and I think what happened was the handle on the sledgehammer broke so he just sawed off the bottom part of the handle to turn it into a hammer lol. Then you can take your pick out of the others that I have.
