Looking to upgrade my cloth seats to leather. Can get sets off ebay for $550 and up. Called local shop and they are saying $600 for installation. anyone tackled this themselves or is it better to pay the local shop?

Google theseatshop they have videos of replacement method.

It doesn't look to hard.

I want to say a local shop here that is a Katskinz dealer could do the front and back seat in my 02 for $900, not sure if that was installed or not. Might want to find a local Katskinz dealer near you and find out.

I have katskinz, they're very good quality, I'd certainly recommend them.

Did you install them or have them installed?

x2. I been looking at these covers for a while. i called my dealer and they couldn't give me an answer if they could install them.

I've done two separate trucks and it was pretty simple, wear gloves as the seat frame edges are a little ruff on bare skin. Take seats out off course.

How hard would you rate the swap.

On a scale from 1(easy) to 10 I'd say it is a 5-6. Takes some arm and hand strength to stretch the covers to attach the retainers. Once you've done a couple surfaces you'll understand what it takes to latch these covers in place, definetly an extra set of hands is a plus but not required. These seats are covered by hand just like you will be doing, of course the better quality covers go on better then lesser quality. Google replacing seat covers, should be some topics that will give you some additional information about installing.

Did you do this on the seats from the new 2014-2015 models?
