Hmm, my mom's thunderbird doesn't have that and she has auto lights, looks kinda funny lol. Yer truck has nips lol. Sorry, at least yours has auto lights

I have the automatic dual zone climate control, and I only have one zit on my dash. I remember seeing something in my manual, it said not to cover it as it was where the climate control read the temperature.

Mine is for the automatic headlights and is about a quarter of that size - so your's is probably for the dual climate control. That thing is huge.

Hmmm, maybe that's why it's so big.

One giant zit housing both sensors.

02 and below had 2 identical smaller zits.

I've got the same on our 03 Denali and a similar one on my 99 Silverado. It is a twilight sentinel that measures the amount of ambient light and uses that to determine if the headlights should be automatically turned on. If you have auto climate control, I believe it serves for both functions.

BTW, its really not that big.

Just get a dashmat, it covers mine up pretty nice to where it's not even noticeable.

BTW, it doesn't switch the lights off right away if you shine a flashlight on it, it takes a few minutes...otherwise your lights would come on everytime you went under an overpass. I have been "stuck" underneath an overpass and had my headlights come on...kinda cool.
