New to Forum and to GM truck ownership

Hello everyone, my name is Jared and I just purchased a 1992 Chevy 1500 extended cab. I got the truck cheap but it needs a lot of help and I'm going to need help giving that help. The truck runs good, but it doesn't always like to start and a lot of the creature comforts and cosmetics are pretty shot.

Besides working on my truck I also like to play airsoft and bass guitar. My wife and I are both teachers and we have our first little one on the way (due in November).

I'll be around the forums and I'm sure I'll be asking questions. Glad to have what looks a good resource on the web.

Hey y'all my name is matt I just got a 93 Gmc Sierra 1500 got it back in February anf just now finding this site, so far I like it and reading the articles and what not helps pass the time, I am in the process of getting my certificates in Automotive Technology, Me and my old man have rebuilt a 69 dodge charger we sold it sadly, I'm from the south and pretty easy to get a long with and if I ask stupid or simple questions its still cause I'm still in the learning stage of mechanics

Hi to the group from Hamilton, Ontairo.

I am very new to full size trucks. My main purpose is to learn about any problems that others may be having with thier new truck if any and to get info on any aftermarket accessories, has in towing mirrors, box covers ...etc.

My NEW truck is an GMC Sierra sle double cap. It's 4 wheel drive, 5.3 v8 6 speed auto, 3.08 rearend, so only 6500lbs towing. This will be ok for my use as a travel camper towing is the main reason for the truck. So far I am pleased with the truck, It's handling has been easy to get use to, the ride quality is very acceptable.

That said, I have just over 1000KM (620m) and only 1.5 wks old.

Now stuff about me, I am retired and my lady will be also in a few years.
