When I took mine in for an oil change about a week ago...I asked them to check for updated transmission flashes and they mentioned that they were seeing some "low idle issues". However, it sounded more like a stalling at idle, anyone had that happen?

Raised my 5.3 idle that was crappy/rough to 600 RPM while in drive using the diablo sport tuner. Left the stock idle while in park at 500. Now while in drive stopped at a light cant even feel vehicle running.. Have to look at the tach at time to make sure its still running. Very happy now

me too!  That was really my biggest complaint from this truck!  I had a HP Tuner bump it 50 rpms and that worked for me.  No more Hot idle at stop light bringing it down to 490rpms to save fuel...

I was hesitant to go 50 because I wasn’t sure if it would be enough. I may have to try that although 100 is working well for me.

Bumped my idle in gear RPM 50 and idle in park/neutral 100 with my Diablo intune i2 tuner. Definitely made idle smoother when in gear at a stop with AC on.

Yup, totally agree!  GM HOT Mapped it all the way to almost stalling out to save fuel....While I commend them....they could have just put it at 600rpm's like a normal person/engineer would.  Notice the bump on PARK?  Course your setting for lengthy periods....Guess what...I sit in traffic lights for lengthy periods....so don't think a customer will never know the different idle's

Really... I could definitely be wrong because in the previous vehicles I didn't pay to much attention. It was a well known engine. I was just curious about the new ecotec. Could there be a difference between the Silverado and the more SUV like Avalanches with the same engine.

Naw that's too low,650 is where it should be

Will a xtool ip616 raise idle, because I've been relearning it and idle won't go past 500 in drive
