RED TRUCKS...Did you Deabadge? If So Did It Leave An Outline?

Hello, I have a red 06 2500HD that im looking to take the door molding off. I was just worried that the paint underneath will be noticeably better than the rest of the truck and that I would have a rectangular outline on my doors. Any advice? Anyone have this problem or was it not noticeable? Thanks for the help!

Being that your truck is about 10 years old I'd bet there will be an outline as the rest of the paint fades over time but, that's just my hunch. I have a red truck but, I've not de-badged it.

Color is irrelevant. You will have natural sunfading of paint. Your best bet without painting is to take it off, clean and buff, Polish and wax.

Yes, there will be a difference in the paint under the badges/moldings and the paint exposed to sunlight all the time. No way to tell how much of a difference until you do it. Remove one of the small badges on the door, clean area really well, and compare with the rest of the door panel. If there's a great difference, stick badge back on with double stick molding tape.

:chevrolet: Paint fades buff and polish should be okay!
