Just wondering how Laura GMC can give such great discounts? I might be driving from Houston to Laura to buy a truck. Dealerships in Houston and surrounding towns won't discount t like this.

Reading on here so I looked them up. 10k and up off of a 2015 4wd cc with the 6.2.

Lowest I seen offered on slt cc 4wd with the 6.2's is 46800 firm. That's in louisiana. Texas won't go lower than 48k+ TT&L at the dealerships I talked too.

Find a dealer that will match their price local if you can. I had to take two weeks to find one but it was only an hour away and within $750 of Laura's price. They had to ship the truck in for me as it was only one of two left in the US at the time so their prices are real. Most of the local dealers wanted me to pay $2-5k more.

One of the salesman I spoke with said every vehicle is sold at a loss. They rely on bonuses from selling so much per month (300-500 per month as a dealership). It was well worth the six hour drive for me to get my new truck. The local dealerships kept on calling Laura GMC a scam and there was no way for them to sell vehicles that low. They couldn't even come close to the prices Laura was advertising on the website.

Isn't it just pretty close to supplier pricing? It just looks so great because they have the current rebates figured in their prices and have trade assist (or at least used to) which used to be 1k

I seriously doubt they sell anything at a loss

I was able to find a local dealer that match/beat their pricing, which was about 53k (59k msrp) for a loaded denali minus the 22s. Then minus the rebates which put it below lauras pricing which was just under 51k.

Not sure what the rebates are now, but I got my truck in jan with 3250 in rebates

Def wasn't worth flying from seattle to chicago which was the plan before I found a dealer who wanted my business locally

I can't say it would be worth driving 800+ miles much less flying Seattle to Chicago then STL. But for me being 100 miles away? Very much worth it!

Each person has to factor their local deals as well as their own trades, private party sale, whether to fly or drive etc. True costs change when looking at the big picture.

Mentioned on other Laura threads that I was expecting the deal to change from website to actually being in the dealership or the F&I guy to be an a**. But it was honestly the best buying experience I have ever had.

Not sure how things may have changed with them as my purchase date was April 1 2013. I sent a couple in there that also bought a Yukon & a 2500 over a year ago with zero complaints.

Good luck to the op.

Searched for a Sierra SLT from Atlanta to Charlotte for months with no one coming close to the Laura prices. Happened to check the Laura site one morning and found the configuration I wanted. Called them, made the deal, bought a $300 airline ticket and headed to St. Louis the next morning (they would not hold the truck any longer than 3 days even if it was paid in full). They picked me up from the airport, had everything ready at the dealership as promised, and I was on my way back to SC shortly thereafter. $12.5K off MSRP.

While waiting around in the lobby for a few minutes, I noticed every sales booth was full as well as the customer waiting area (Saturday). They had Chick-fil-A boxed lunches brought in for everyone who was waiting. Never seen anything like it. Trucks were rolling off the parking lot like it was nobody's business. From what they told me, approximately 80% of their business is from out of state. Evidently, they've had folks from as far away as Alaska and Maine come to buy trucks. I seem to remember they move 400-700 vehicles per month.

As far as my buying experience at Laura is concerned, it was excellent and I'm not always easy to please. No sales pressure, no pressure for an extended warranty, etc. They did everything they promised to do and played no games. Two thumbs up.

My only issue is I have to trade my 2014 in so I have to drive it there. The last 2 times I have had the truck appraised it's been either for payoff or was within 1300 of payoff. If I can get a good enough deal I will drive as long as I can get a good enough deal on trade in. The only thing that I worry with is that driving that far and they are way off on my trade.

I would have bought from Laura GMC if it wasn't for the Black Friday Sale last year. I suppose they move so many trucks monthly that the units that were eligible for the Sale were gone quickly. The last unit ($15k off but a higher trim) that I called about was in the process of being sold while I was on the phone. However, the Sale forced me to look elsewhere and I found a dealer in Birmingham AL (Royal) that gave me a $12k discount or 27% off (the Black Friday Sale discounted the price 20% of MSRP in the form of cashback).

I just purchased a 2015 1500 SLT from Laura yesterday morning. Called, spoke with Jason Doore, got a range for my trade, drove up from South Florida and the deal was exactly as they stated. We will buy from them again.

I shopped a bunch of dealers. I didn't find any other dealer closer that had the selection and nobody touched price. Local dealers to me called them a scam and my friends joked it was going to be a disaster.

How close were they on your trade compared to local dealers?

Do they take care of your registration in your state plus figure up your taxes??

I am in Houston also, and I was considering going to Laura as well. But I kept negotiating with in-State dealers, and Cavendar in San Antonio got to about $1K over Laura for spec I wanted, when I considered a flight to Illinois, plus the hotel and the long drive back home. SA was worth it. I probably would have saved a $2-300 net buying at Laura, but I would have lost 2 days of my time plus racked up a ton of miles on the new truck (Even driving back from SA was more miles than I do in my normal commute in 2 weeks). Not worth it to me, where you decide the line of what savings is and is not worth your time and miles may be different, as well as what you are able to negotiate off from someone locally.

Also you may want to email Laura and make sure that you would qualify for every discount they are including in the online price.

Edit: The deal I got from Cavendar was much better than their online price (which just showed MSRP), so just ask, tell them the offer from Laura, see if they can match, or what the best they can do is. I even sent them the link to the truck with the same Specs from Laura in my email to them (so they wouldnt just blow me off thinking I was full of crap telling them the price).
