Stabilitrac Issue from lift or tires

I don't have alignment specs but I know Bds told me the stock specs need to be adjusted to accommodate the the tires and wider track and wheel offset. I may have spoke to soon because stabilitrack cam on today but on a right turn it was always lefts before. It was a faster right turn and gravel shoulder so the stabilitrack coming on may have been legit.

Ok guys, I went to a local dealer that has a 2015 sierra with a rocky ridge lift kit. I looked at the sensor wires in the front and they are defiantly longer than stock. I talked to the parts guy about that truck and he told me I would have to contact a company called automotive accents to get the longer sensor wires. I will call them tomorrow morning. I'm 99% sure the factory wires are the cause of this problem.

Could the ones with a 6" or higher lift kit post pictures of your front sensor wires and tell us if you're having stabilitrack issues or not?

I do not believe for one moment that issue is due to the lift. It is the larger tires IMO. When turning sharp all tires except the drive tire on the outside of the turn will spin slower and the outside tire will turn a little faster causing the wheel speed sensor to acknowledge wheel spin because the large tire diameter causes the shaft to spin much faster than stock perameters. This issue only happens when I'm on the gas in a sharp turn. Same turn coasting results in no issue.

So let's say your lift kit does come with alignment specs....Why should you need these specs if they use one of those fancy light/laser alignment machines and he makes the adjustments off of that? I go to NTB.

I do not have a picture readily available, but my wires are scuffed to the point that bare wires are showing. Please let us know about this automotive accents. I need new wires as it is. I also have the RCX 7.5" lift. Should have went higher....

Well I actually called Rocky Ridge and spoke to a tech there. He said they actually use the factory sensor wires but they have different brackets that the harness clips on to. He said the brackets sit lower than the factory brackets. He explained to me that the bigger tires are not the issue, it's no slack with the sensor wires. How he said it made sense but pretty much when the wheels and turned either left or right, and either wheel is moving up or down, its pulling that wire and stretching it over time, signal gets weak to either hub and system kicks in.

That sucks man. When you get a chance could you take some pictures? I have a pic in this thread of my driver side sensor wire, which is the tightest out of the two.

973028333a10a7e35dede638307b3d3d.jpgi have probably 5" of slack in my wires on all four wheels. I just can not agree with RR theory.

Looks exactly the same. I can move the wire in both directions a significant amount. I just don't believe this is a front wheel issue. I really think it is a rear wheel sensor causing it. Sounds stupid but I can control whether or not it happens at least so far. All depends how I go through the corners. Where I'm located we have traffic circles and they have been good for testing my theory so far. If I just drive through them normal nothing unusual happens. But if I try to go a little fast through them I can get the stabilitrac to kick on.

My right side has more play than my left side. If you think about it tho, RR is setting these trucks up for GM the same way we have ours done up. 6" lift, over sizes wheels and tires and they have no issues with stabilitrak. The only real difference from their kit and the rest, different brackets for the wires to sit lower.

Valid. The difference between my truck and those is that I have not corrected for tire size. I do plan to buy a Diablo InTune soon. When I get it I just have to figure out what tire size to select. My 35"s aren't 35" and I think selecting that tire size wouldn't fix anything.
