Maybe slightly excessive, but not a total waste. Those areas with large beaches and lots of action need something. What else could they use?

If i remember right, the Police Taurus costs my city about $14k per unit before upfitting. But they also wont drive those on beaches

$14k seems pretty low, unless theyre not buying interceptors.

Then it was $24k i was thinking. And this was like 2013. They do buy interceptors, but not all of them Eco Boost. They also have a couple of Interceptor SUV's.

I'm sure buying police fleet is like buying any vehicle. They advertise and MSPR and then have a million extra add-ons that tally up the total pretty quick.

Gotta be cheaper than all those police Tahoe/yukons and suburbans I see all over. The really big waste of taxpayer money is in the pension plans where retirement is as lucrative as working.
