Been seraching the fourm for a few days and trying to find some answers.

I would like to black out a 2015 All-Terrain

I can get mirror caps and door handles off ebay. I can get the black window trim from the dealer.

Only problem Im having is comming up with a solution on how to tackle the chrom door bumper trim.

I know removing it is an option but im looking for some other methods as id rather keep it on.

Has anyone attempted to vinyl wrap it?

From the dealer (I actually use GMPartsNow.com with military discount for all oem parts), and have it painted with the handles and caps.....that's how i did mine.

Looked at your build thread! Really Like what you did.

Did you remove and reinstall the trim yourself?

Yes, it isnt difficult. The hardest part is getting residue off of a black painted truck without scratching it. The trick I used is paper towel with 3m adhesive remover and a whole lot of thumb work. make sure you wash the 3m off really well and not cross contaminate onto other items.

Why not just get gloss black vinyl and wrap them, or get a tint shop to do it but it wouldn't be too difficult yourself if your inclined. Look on eBay you can get rolls of gloss black vinyl for less than ten bucks

Very good point, a wheel would work well, you just have to be careful as to pressure.

As far as black vinyl, that would work as well, I actually have a 4x4 sheet in my shop, but it does not color match (3M 1080). But it would work, no doubt.

If you order handles and such from gm, your gonna have to get them painted as the come primed, if you get them color matched, might as well have him do the moldings as well.

Door Handles

Just changed out the chrome door handles on my AT for paint match. But on 3 of the 4 handles the contours of the 2 handle parts don't match up. Anyone got any idea what the deal is?
