Does it have the beak like that for the HEX that they had to fit in? Basically, is that ugly shit front end functional, or just a really bad decision?

It's like a crappy attempt to copy the Dodge HD front end.

 

It also looks like they made it a wide-body, but forget to stretch the wheels out with it.

Kinda looks like a pit Viper about to strike. Paint it black with a white grille and you gotcha a Cotton Mouth.
