Not any better or worse compared to my 2014 Ram 3/4. Only noticeable difference is with the chevy you can hear the fan running.

For '16, the nomenclature used to describe the seats is now "vented", not "cooled" as in previous years

was there ever a reason why this was changed? Why would people not want cooled instead of vented

Hot air was expelled onto the rear cab passengers with no cool air flow to counter act it. The solution, kill off the cooled seats.

Was this ever confirmed or info put out anywhere to confirm? The yukons still have "cooled seats" because they are back vents for people in there rear?

Yes it was confirmed. They removed the "cooled" seat package in the '16 build options, and only offer the "vented" seat package. My '15 Denali has the cooled seats, which are "meh" at best. Lots of noise from the blower fan, lots of hot air into the face of your back seat passengers coming off the TEC unit they used, little flow through the seats to cool. At most, they are useful during remote start so the black leather doesn't brand your backside as bad. So its better for the corporate bottom line to remove the package than redesign it. I suspect there was internal concerns at the engineering level about condensation on the cool side TEC units, and no where for the condensation to drain to as well.

You do know the the SUVs have not had their mid life cycle refresh yet don't you? They will loose it then.

Yes confirmed.

Cooling with the Peltier device was borderline at best, and dumped heat behind the front seats.

I find that the 16 vented are pretty much as comfortable as the 15 cooled ones were.
