I enjoy competition so I just about know all sports, but I used to coach middle school aged basketball so I am more demanding on that sport. Like I said, I am more into the competition so prefer favorite players versus teams. I'm old school so that's prior and during the Jordan era, so I will give you my favorite player today. The Big Ticket, not a whole lot to say after that. If you are an NBA fan you know the rest of that story. Don't think there is/was a more mental player during his era. He is really going to help the Timberwolves this season, looking forward to seeing how the young fellas soak it up.

Lakers!! Just waiting for them to start winning games again...hopefully sometime soon. We had a decent offseason and have some young talent, so things could turn around in the near future.

Not going to happen until they get rid of a "key" player, no not Kobe, Kupchak.

Not sure it's as much Mitch Kupchak as it is Jim Buss. Guy really needs to go.

I could add Jim to the problem, but Jeanne gave him 3 years to put the team in the Conference finals, he's down to 2. No time limit for Kupchak. One or both will be gone in 2 years, Lakers are probably tied for 10th in the West and will not make the Conference finals in 2 years.

Being from Toronto - I root for the Raptors

Don't just root for the Raptors because they are from Toronto, they have some top notch players and are pretty competitive. I think they will make it to the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs this upcoming season.

I hope so.

They choked hard last season. (And the post-season before)

Its almost unforgiving.

Grew up a bulls fan being from NW Indiana. It was awesome being in middle school and high school when Jordan and scottie were doing their thing. I enjoy college basketball over pro (to much one on one, no defense)

I love watching and playing basketball. I also coach my 5 yr old. We start our work league in a week

My basketball playing days were over long ago, once I lost my step it was off to coaching. I preferred to coach the middle school grades, 7-9 back in the day. That age is the “how to” group to where you can teach technique. How to pick, how to roll, how to shoot a free throw, how to pass, etc. My youngest is 30 and stopped in town yesterday, he was saying how he was playing basketball the other day and was keeping bigger guys off the glass, block out technique I taught him. I silently reflected on the comment, but teach your son techniques when he’s at the technique age, it will stay with him at 30.
