I don't see the ability for any product that can sell competitively in a box store to be truly of higher quality than what it's competing against. Compound that with all of the advertising they do on television directly and via the "car shows" and it seems that their products would be very middle-of-the-road in terms of quality.

It's just my opinion as that's how I see things. Decades of experience have shown me that products that sit side-by-side on shelves in a store and sell for similar prices are very similar in quality. Or, they're MUCH worse (remember Dura Shine?) and will eventually no longer be sold next to those other products.

I'm sorry, I'm not following. So if a product sells in a big box store, it's likely to be rubbish? That rules out a pretty big percentage of companies, not just car wax merchants.

Perhaps they can afford to advertise because for years they've sold a quality product and have turned a profit, which in turn has allowed them the ability to advertise their product? Watch some of their videos on you tube. They seem like a company that cares to me.

So what products do you use? I sure hope it's not one of those waxes that come in a golden bucket and sell for $100 an ounce. You don't see those in big box stores but you can bet your farm it's all hype.

You're right - you didn't follow my rationale. Stated differently:

If a product is sold in a box store, it's going to be of similar quality to the stuff that sits next to it on the shelf and sells for a similar price. It isn't going to be "outstanding" in comparison.

How about washing these? Regular cycles just no dryer sheet is what my experience tells me; that still correct?

How about washing the MF chemical guys application pads? Can I use degreaser soap (like Dawn) and hand scrub it and air dry?

I have to say that the Adams towels are muchhhhhhhhh better than the Meguiars in my collection. The rag company towels are pretty darn good too.
