Need help choosing '15 6.2 truck...and eating crow

Long story short...I've had 2 '14 GMC's already, 1st one was SLT 5.3 and I put 5,000 miles was a VERY early '14 model swapped (cuz it had crappy 3.08 gears) for basically nothing outta pocket except slight difference in MSRP and sales tax on a '14 5.3 All Terrain that I really liked and put 38,000 on it, except I had a bunch of little nagging issues, and vibrations that they couldn't fix......and a few weeks ago I ended up totaling it!

I say eating crow b/c I badmouthed the truck/GM on this forum (some rightfully so to some degree) and was adamant I wouldn't get another one after being told by 2 GM engineers that "there's no fix and they all shake to some degree" I was dead set on getting a Dodge (either 2500 Power Wagon Laramie or loaded up 1/2 ton) - problem is the Dodges are just so damn soft and slow (the 1/2 tons) and the Power wagon while slow is very powerful and has a great ride/lift etc. - problem is they won't budge period on price, won't go below $3000 on MSRP of $57,000.

I'm back on GMC and want a 6.2 - I've narrowed down to 3 trucks, all different, and different price points....I'm leaning on the cheapest, but don't want to regret the purchase so would like some outside opinions as well to get a different perspective.

Truck #1 - Denali 4x4 6.2 CC, short bed, black/grey interior, heated/cooled seats, lane departure, 20"s, sunroof, trailer brake controller, nav, etc. - got it down to $50,600 before ttl, sticker around $59,000

Truck #2 - All Terrain SLT 4x4 6.2 CC short bed, black/black, heated seats, AT preferred package (heated seats, steering wheel, F/R park assist), sunroof, nav, chrome rectangular assist steps, 20" AT rims, basically same exact as my previous truck except it has 6.2 and a sunroof while my last truck was 5.3, no sunroof, and had a 6.5' bed. Got this truck down to $48,500 before ttl - sticker around $56,500

Truck #3 - All Terrain SLT 4x4 6.2 CC short bed, SONOMA RED/black interior, heated seats, bose stereo, basic rear park assist - that's about it. What this truck DOESN'T have - Nav, F/R park assist, sliding rear window (really would miss that), sunroof, 20"s, etc. This truck I can get for $42,200 before ttl sticker was $52,xxx THAT is a big price difference, and that's because it falls under the 20% off MSRP deal for the "10% of oldest stock" rebate.

The Denali I'm pretty much ruling out #1 because it is just a little too pricey, and #2 I dislike the denali grill, I dislike the lane departure BS, and I dislike the magnaride shocks (when they go they're pricey and I plan on keeping this truck for a while, and lifting it down the road is difficult)

The black loaded AT would end up being $48,500 + $500 linex, + $600 tonneau cover, +$250 bumper clear bra, $49,850, $54,000 OTD roughly

The "stripped" Sonoma Red AT would end up being $42,200 + $500 linex +$600 tonneau cover, + $250 clear bra, +$2000 for 20" GMC rims/tires (18"s just too small) = $45,550, roughly $49,400 OTD

$4600 saved, but giving up the nav, the F/R park assist, the heated steering wheel, the sunroof. Only thing that bothers me truly is the heated wheel and sliding window....not really sure it's worth nearly 5 grand to me though

Soooo - opinions? I am still going to try and get the price down more, but the bottom line is I don't think there's much more coming off and the price delta between the 3 should remain steady

I had a black truck. I found out I'm not a black truck guy. My last truck was red. I found out I'm not a red truck guy.

You have more experience buying K2 trucks than I. But since you asked....I would not get nav. I would buy an Alpine aftermarket. Standard beds only for me. No mini beds. Been there.

Have to agree with Spurshot I traded the black 14 AT CCSB for a White Diamond 15 AT CCSB.

Not going to ever purchase a black truck too much hassle keeping it clean.

Good Luck!

Yeah I had a standard bed previous, not many around here in MA...they don't order the SLT/Denali trucks w/ standard beds, I was lucky to find one previously, I may keep looking, but I'm outta a car at the moment rental is up insurance sent me the check and now I'm daily driving my Z06 since my wife needs her car to deal w/ our newborn @ home.

I would go with truck #2 but I am a black truck kind of guy and black interior is a must for me. Truck #3 tho you save some money, especially on a few things you don't even need anyway. But to me, getting the color I really want would be worth the extra. Just depends on what color you want and what you want to spend. Good luck either way!

Truck number 2 sounds like the best deal to me. But I am also a black on black kind of guy. I live in MA too and all the Crew Cabs around here a short beds. I'm in the market for a 6.2 and found a pretty nice Silverado LTZ. This is after the dealer manager at the place I went to request them to look for a certain vehicle for me told me I was looking for a truck that didn't exist and he wouldn't help me and to buy a new one. But that's a story for another day. Get number 2. Sounds like the right one to me. That's just my opinion. Good luck though!

I was also lucky enough to get my 5.3 LTZ CC with a standard bed. Can't say the same for every single 6.2 I've ran into.

I think this can also be interpreted to apply to buying a truck without the options you really like. The small extra cost will be partially recouped at trade time anyway.

Have you actually driven any of the 3 options at freeway speeds? That may narrow the choices down in a hurry if you catch my drift...

Nice. Post pictures do we can see this beauty. Where did you get it in MA if you don't mind me asking.

Lance GMC...Mansfield MA

I queried 25 dealers chevy and gmc for 6.2's they're very hit or miss some have none and other have a bunch. Lance is in the latter group w/ more to come, if you're in the market again

Yeah I've been looking for a 6.2 my local dealers are being pretty shitty and not cooperating. I'll look them up and give them a call.
