To test and see if there is a sub, put the fader all the way to the rear and you will hear the sub cut off, then go one "click" to the front and you will hear it kick in. I have mine tuned with the treble all the way up, the mods one click off center and the sub three clicks from all the way up and it freaking rocks!

I have never heard the one in the center console. I did just recently install the gm kicker acc sub under back seat and that thing is awesome.

What is the part number on the kicker? I think this is gonna be a must for me. Not enough bass from the bose system.

Another question: Does the Kicker GM Acc Sub work with the Bose system? with factory Bose sub?

very good question.. I'm highly interested in the kicker sub... just looking for a little more boom. Don't want to tamper with all the hassle with making a box. Removing panels. Running wires etc. I want plug and play

Can someone tell me if the rear door speakers say Bose with silver outline trim on them? Or not.

yes I installed mine it was very straight forward. to be fair I am a gm tech so know the trucks very well. I really like the sub its not going to act like two 12s but im past that stage lol. I dont even have the bass turned up all the way on the radio anymore.

Im assuming for the install you obviously ran a power to the battery and tapped into speaker wires also?
