Your wife sounds like mine. I drove my worn out 97 S10 when we got married and when we moved and I got a better job she let me get my 03 Silverado. Then I couldn't afford gas and that's why I have the 4Runner now. I hate my 70mile commute or the Silverado would have stayed. We just picked her up a nice 04 Chrysler 300M so she's happy now too. Good wives are worth the initial investment.

Nice looking truck! Have you considered swapping for a color matched front bumper? I always thought that the huge chrome version doesn't flow well with the rest of the design.

 

Engine and diff gear ratio?

 

And screw the Rancho's, get some billysteins!

The longer I have this truck the more I am liking the chrome front end. I think it will help to cut back on stone chips and it will help to hide blemishes from day to day driving. I have already debadged the tailgate and put a black vinyl wrap over the front bowtie. I just got my GM molded front and rear splash guards in the mail Friday and will be installing those this week. Hate that I have to drill into an almost new truck but I do like how secure the GM guards are. Had them on my GMC HD and liked them.

 

Engine is a 5.3L and the rear end is a 3.42.

 

This is my third GMT 900 so I love being back in a truck I know extremely well.
