Hi Guys,

I am a new member here but I am not new to forums or trucks. I like the idea that there is a specific K2XX HD forum here. About 3 weeks ago I got rid of my 2008 1500 CC LTZ Z71 Vortec Max for my new HD. Last December I bought a 2015i LT RC LB 6.0 for my business and I was really impressed with it. It went a long way on helping me make up my mind on my new personal truck. I speced it exactly the way I wanted and we searched until we found one. (Not easy)

2015i 2500 HD CC SB LTZ Z71

Deep Ruby / Cocoa Dune

LTZ Plus package

Heated/cooled buckets

Driver alert package

Nav

20s

Tow mirrors

Bed lights

6" steps

Polished exhaust tip

The only thing on my list that it did not have was the factory spray in liner.

Things I have added:

Truxedo LoPro

Rhino Liner

Husky weatherbeaters

Husky gear box

16K 5W hitch

I also had a Seal Out treatment done on the body and had the frame masked off and sprayed with a high end undercoating to keep the rust away.

So far I love the truck. I have been very happy with all my decisions.

What does the polished exhaust tip look like for the 2500hd. Have had the factory ones on my 1500. But didn't now they had one for hd.

Thanks guys. It is such a pleasure to drive. I have been reading a lot of discussion on here about about the 6.0 vs the Duramax. Let me add my $.02 to the "heated" debate. The trucks at my business consist of: 1998 2500 silverado RC LB 454, 2003 F250 RC LB V10 (do not like), 2008 2500 silverado 2LT EC SB Duramax/Banks Economind and a 2015 2500 Silverado LT+ RC LB 6.0. We have owned them all since new and they are all still used. The Duramax is hands down the most powerful and it is a great truck. The surprise truck was the 2015 6.0. Does it pull 14K as fast and easy as the Duramax? Nope. Does it do everything we need it to do including pulling some BIG trailers? Yes is does. Pretty darn good too. I have seat time in all of these trucks with 15K hooked to them. I do think I am qualified to have an opinion on how they tow.

When it came time to get my new truck I could have bought a Duramax. They are great engines. (Except for where the DEF tank is). I choose to get the 6.0 for several reasons. The money difference while important did not make my decision for me. I really like the LS based engines and I know how to work on them. I love the way these trucks drive as a daily driver with the L96, 6L90, 4.10 combo in them. It gets COLD here in the winter and my drive to work is only 5 miles. (Gas please). And lastly, I just didn't need it. My 5th wheel weighs about 9K loaded and my boat is 4K. The 6.0 pulls them both wonderfully.

Couple pics from tonight with the LowPro and exhaust tip on. BTW you guys have some gorgeous trucks too.

Nice! Also agree

Nice

Lower your tire pressures and you'll realy get a good ride, add air when towing etc ...

I run 50 psi front & 45 psi rear unloaded, much more enjoyable

and yes the icon on the Instrument Cluster will light up - no big deal

Never effected my tire life (80,000 miles)

My dealer mentioned many others are doing the same

Yes it will. It will fit any of the trucks with a 3.5" tailpipe.
