They used to be PBR. Not sure if they still use them

In the 05-07(havent looked at a 900 or k2) it was marked with PBR's logo on the back side of the calipers pretty much between the pistons.

The 2014's have Akebono calipers and rotors. Not sure if this is true for the 2015's.

With all the outsourcing, I guess it's no surprise that a well known company that makes brakes is a supplier to GM. But, the K2 caliper single sided piston design is classic GM. I think I read that the SS Camaro has optional Brembo brakes.

You only get the optional Brembo brakes on the Camaro if you opt for the SS package with the V8.

Yeah, saw that. There's a couple of them in the parking lot at work.

For 2016 camaros brembo brakes comes standard on all models. Though I assume the ss version would have bigger rotors

Someone could always try to mount a set and see if they work. What bugs me is the manufactures are starting to cheap out on the Brembo option. Usually they only do the fronts and leave the rears as the cheap ole cast ones. They don't look symmetrical when they do it that way.

I know when I had my G8 GXP the mod to do was to move the Brembo calipers from the CTS-V gen 2 rears over to our cars. Not that you needed the extra stopping power but to complete the look.

Before I bought the Wilwoods, I was thinking of taking some 2500 front calipers and rotors and machining the bracket and hat section to adapt them.

That is nice Jenna, maybe GM is finally listening to some degree. Nice to see the SS got them, means the G8 cars should be able to swap them pretty easy then since they are the same car with only the sheet metal being different.
