USB and SD slot not see devices plugged in.

Hey all, before I head to the dealer I want to check if anyone has seen this problem.

My 2015 is not recognizing any USB thumb drives or SDcards. The SDCard was working until I unplugged it to add more music. Now no media is recognized. I've removed the additional music I added. I tried three different usb thumbdrives one at a time, all different brands and sizes with a single mp3 music file. Nothing. I've tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours with hopes it would "power cycle" the radio but no difference. I've also tried reformating the thumbdrives with fat32 per the manual but that didn't help either.

Media through my cell phone with blue tooth does work fine.

Thanks

That happened to me a couple of months ago. You have to go to the dealership and have them reprogram your radio. Took about an hour or so and now works fine but it's a glitch in the program that I think has something to do with the SD reader because my Hard drive always worked fine and then I put a SD card in and it started not seeing anything I plugged in.

2015 Cadillac Escalade Models (RPO AVF*)

2015 Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Silverado 1500

2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD, Suburban, Tahoe (RPO AVF*)

2015 GMC Sierra 1500

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition/Concern

Customers may comment that the USB port is inoperative or they receive a message of No other media available when pressing the Media button. They may also comment that the USB light illuminates but the radio does not recognize a device is installed. If an SD card was removed with the ignition off no other media devices will work when connected.

Recommendation/Instructions

If available, reinstall the SD card that was removed. If the original SD card is installed and removed with the ignition on all other USB devices will start working.

If the SD card is not available please perform the following steps: Press Home>> Settings>> Return to Factory Settings>> Clear All Private Data. Turn ignition off for 5 minutes and retest USB operation.

Note: USB may need to be disconnected and reconnected.

Engineering is aware of the concern and is currently working towards a resolution.

Customer Information

Please communicate to the customer that we apologize for this inconvenience and that General Motors is working on a solution for this concern. That makes perfect sense.
