Is the Blue paint easy to keep clean?

I'm in the market for another Denali, and I'm seriously considering the Blue color. My only concern is how difficult it is to keep clean and its ability to hide swirls, scuffs, etc. I've mostly owned white vehicles my entire life and love how easy they are to keep clean. My wife's Yukon is the only black I've owned and it looks dirty the day after it's washed. It also doesn't hide scuffs, swirls or scratches very well.

Can people familiar with this blue color tell me if it's more similar to the black or white paint with regards to looking clean and showing scuffs? Thanks for the info.

It's a little of both honestly just depends how well you take care of it. It hides scratches pretty well depending on severity of course, but as for swirls and that I'd say no, can hardly see swirls

As for keeping it clean it does attract a little amount of dirt but none to really affect how it looks. I'm happy with mine, can't complain

I have a motorcycle with a very similar blue color and it does a decent job of hiding blemishes. The metallic really helps to hide scratches and swirls in the sun.

I'll agree that it hides swirls, but I will also add that it's a color that shows dirt and dust easily! I love the color, wouldn't change if I had that chance.

i think it would be in the middle.. not show as much as black would when it gets blemishes and scratches but not as good as say a silver vehicle or white. the blue is still a darker color like a gray or black. cant beat silver or white

i have a metallic darker red cruze and after 80k miles and running through car washes it shows a lot of scratches and blemished

The last 4 vehicles we bought have been white. I was actually negotiating for the DWT Denali when I saw the blue. had to have it. Don't regret my decision at all. I get compliments on it all the time.

That said - to answer your question, it's not as bad as black, but it is definitely not as easy to take care of as white. I went through this exact same dilemma when I was buying mine. but in the end, I loved the blue and had to have it. Hope this helps!

Thanks everybody for the responses. I'll just have to make the choice when I see the trucks in person.

If that's your strategy, I'll congratulate you now on your brandy spankin new BLUE Denali :)

Our company trucks are white and get tons of scratches from limbs driving down logging roads but hides them very well. My last 3 vehicles have been black but I looked hard at that blue before I bought another black truck. Most dealerships had few to none in that color, especially in a dbl cab LT configuration. Most that I saw were LTZ crew cabs. You still can't beat the looks of a black truck after a good wash and wax!

id have to say say, that blue is a really nice looking color.. you could keep it nice looking but it would require lots of was and hand washing only!

I have three kids and zero time for hand washing a vehicle. I don't even mow my own yard anymore. Thankfully there's a new carwash up the street that I visit on a weekly basis. I'm just afraid that the brushes will leave small scratches in the blue. I might stick with white. My dealer currently has several Denali in stock - most are white and black, but they have 3 blue ones I believe. Nearly all optioned up the same.

I have the Slate Grey Metallic. Most people think that it is blue instead of grey. Anyway I have 6,000 miles and 4+ months of driving it. It has been up in the mountains a good part of the summer driving on one lane dirt roads so it has had lots of contact with small branches of trees and shrubs alone the road. Not a single scratch mark on it.

Is there a touchless or hand car wash in your area? I now purchase monthly passes to the local hand car wash. For my truck it is $59 for exterior and interior. Best money ever spent. I take it through at least once a week. Since there are no brushes, I don't get any scratches or swirl marks on my truck. It averages out to about $12 a wash. I do add a nice tip to those that are doing the interior, which includes vacuuming, cleaning all the windows inside and out, cleaning off the dash and instrument panels, cleaning the tires and wheels. Like I said well worth it.
