As title says, been waiting a month for local dealer to look at my trucks vibration. Bought it from another dealer 120 miles away, had them road force balance tires because at 82 you couldn't hang on to the wheel. After the balance now have vibration at 62. Didn't want to drive 240 miles each time to have it taken care of so went to local dealer. Now I wait. I've bought 5 new GM trucks in 7 years, and not cheap ones, current truck was over $54K sticker. . Won't buy another.

Your only options are to wait it out until they get it fixed, buy new tires and hope that fixes it or trade it in on another brand. Good luck either way.

Well after balancing the tires, they tell me left front needed rebalanced so they rebalanced and sent it back. Still has vibration, so they take it back and keep it for a week. Now tell me right rear tire needs replaced which they do and bring it back. STILL HAS VIBRATION! I take it to another dealer, have the owner of that deaership drive it. He can't believe they sent it back.. I think I have discovered that some dealers don't worry about the vibraters because they are just refusing to admit there is a problem. I see what customer service means to GM, absolutely nothing.

I have taken mine to two different dealers, in two different stats mind you and both of them keep telling me that there is nothing wrong with it!!.. I'm at a loss as what to do..

You realize GM has nothing to do with it if the dealer are not willing to follow the established protocol for vibration analysis. There is a very specific process GM has in place, all it takes is a dealer who is willing to do the work and follow the established process. Those that have had the analysis done have found the issue on their trucks and had it fixed.

Really, and what was that fix?!?!?!?!

It depends on the truck, that is the whole reason for the dealer to follow the protocol for the vibration analysis. Some trucks have had the drive shaft replaced, some have had the ring gears replaced and some the entire rear end.

It sounds like the OP has a lazy dealer who is worried about making book time instead of taking care of the customer.

So if the truck was 40k everything would be all right? :wtf:

And what is this analysis? I've been told it doesn't have a vibration by the dealer, today i was told it's normal, it's the transmission shuttering torque, told me it's in the owners manual. Could someone point out to me what page that is on?

so your previous post said you took it to multiple dealers and they replaced parts so it must not be normal if they are trying to fix it. Have you called gm? What about the owner of the dealer, what is he going to do? (why is the owner driving it anyways, he is a certified mechanic?)

If this is just another rant thread blah blah I see what gm customer service is blahah go buy a prius. Take it to a dealer that will get it fixed or start the process as others have said. I highly doubt your truck is vibrating so bad you can't steer it and the mechanic riding with you is acting like he can't feel it

Purchasing dealer replaced one tire last week, they first told me truck has no vibration, now telling me it's normal, telling me it's the transmission "shuttering torque". So which is it, no vibration, or shuttering torque? Only those of us with these trucks now what it is. I keep asking that dealership to have someone from GM come drive this truck, Called GM yesterday, First dealer, where I bought it, didn't know the number for me to call. The second dealership's owner was a certified GM mechanic, inherited some money, bought the dealership.

As for blah blah, no one is forcing you to read or comment on the problems with this truck or any of the others who have problems with their trucks. Paying for a new vehicle which makes your hands go numb will driving it is not what we paid for. Other then this I love the truck, this was to be my last new truck before I retired. I don't think I'm asking to much to expect it to drive as well as my wife's $23,000 Hyundai.

Just ignore the comments of those who like to bash. They show up in every thread where someone brings up concerns. It totally takes threads off track and adds nothing constructive....just roll your eyes like I do and move to the next comment. That being said....I hope that you get some resolution.
