Same issue here. Wiped the music off my phone, took and old iPhone and put all my music on it, and I just keep plugged in under the center console.

9.2 caused all kinds of bluetooth problems with my '15 8" non-nav. Phone calls went to iphone music no matter what was playing beforehand, hpf prompts (maps) did the same thing - annoying.

I went back to 9.1 and everything is working again, drove me crazy for a few days.

Seen quite a few posts on various forums about 9.2 screwing up bluetooth.

Having the same issues here, doesn't matter if I make a call or receive one after I'm done it switches to the music on the phone if I was listening to the radio. I hope the next IOS update fixes this!!!

Hey guys first post here been reading and lurking since I got my '15 Denali 1500 CC standard box with the 6.2 at the end of November. All was well with Siri eyes free until iOS 9.2. It does exactly what you all are experiencing here. After she's done it will switch to iPhone media even though I was listening to XM beforehand. I've found that actually plugging my 6s into the USB in the center console seems to cure it. If I'm only connected via Bluetooth it doesn't work. Hopefully whatever Apple buggered up they fix in 9.2.1 which the beta was just released this week. Either way I'm subscribed to this thread.

I have no music on my phone and it still hangs up in Bluetooth after using hands free. Running 9.2 also.

The question is whether or not this is causing issues with other vehicles (other than GM)? In other words, is it a GM issue only or an iphone issue?

Just got off Apple chat. They haven't had any reports yet. I'd suggest flooding their chat windows. I'm going in for service tomorrow and am asking about software updates.

Plenty of complaints from other car owners on the apple support forums, bluetooth headset and speaker issues as well. They obviously broke something, everything seems to work OK on my wife's '15 jeep but I didnt spend a lot of times on it before switching back to 9.1.

How could or would this be a GM issue when they haven't updated the software in months to years now? Apple is notorious and known for messing up simple BT protocols and always has been known to be difficult in the industry.

I'm on 9.1 now and still same shit. I guess Apple added a feature that as soon as you turn on your Bluetooth headset it automatically starts your music and visa-versa and since the truck is basically a $50k Bluetooth headset...

Now what lazy bastard needs that? I'm perfectly capable of pushing play... What gets me is that there is no way to turn this feature off, it's simply forced on you.

I just can't believe none of the rest of you have this issue... When the other two 15 model GM trucks here are doing the same thing.

Same here on my '16

I have had the issue since first day of owning the truck(May-2015). I fly a lot so removing all music from my iPhone would be more of an inconvenience. I will start my search of replacement head units to hopefully remedy the problem and gain carplay. If anyone has any recommendations that do not require too much trim work at dash, please share.
