MyLink issues since IOS9

Every since upgrade to IOS9, if linked up via bluetooth anytime an app is accessed it changes radio to Media and starts playing from the phone.

Very annoying!

 

Anybody else experienced this and if so, how did u fix? My wife's phone does same thing.

I keep the music app completely turned off when I don't want it or my truck would start playing music from the phone as soon as the Bluetooth connected. As long as the app is closed I don't have any problems.

Well this does it from any app... Say my wife is linked up and I'm driving down the highway jamming to the best of the 20's flapper girl music on XM and she opens candy crush or some shit... It will change my radio to media and start playing candy crush over my radio. The phone should not be able to switch my radio, and if so I should at least have the option of turning that feature off.

Just turn the bluetooth setting off.

When a phone is setup to link you can turn that off. It is an upward swipe and then deselect it. Good luck.

Yeah, I can turn it off but it defeats the purpose of hands free calling using my truck. It never did this crap until my upgrade to IOS9.

I'm on 9.1 now and still same shit. I guess Apple added a feature that as soon as you turn on your Bluetooth headset it automatically starts your music and visa-versa and since the truck is basically a $50k Bluetooth headset...

Now what lazy bastard needs that? I'm perfectly capable of pushing play... What gets me is that there is no way to turn this feature off, it's simply forced on you.

 

I just can't believe none of the rest of you have this issue... When the other two 15 model GM trucks here are doing the same thing.

I have the issue. Extremely annoying. Now every time I get a notification from Waze etc. it turns on my phone music instead of going back to what I was listening to on the radio.

Work around, I deleted all my music off the phone and logged out of iTunes in the Music app

I just bought my truck and this is driving me crazy. I will give your solution a try!

Anything new on this? When using Waze and having turned off the voice navigation through Bluetooth AND the phone speaker Waze is still giving me alerts through the truck Bluetooth. It's like the app is trying to control my truck and my truck is allowing it to happen!
