Had the transfer case update done in early December. Honestly did not notice much difference in shifting - Still lugs between shift points; especially when trying to accelerate through and coming out of a turn, still flare shifts under hard acceleration.

However, I just started using M5 for my around town driving and all I can saw is WOW! This is how the truck should drive!

I had tried M5 prior to the update and really didn't feel I gained anything. But since the update it's an entirely different driving experience. No lugging and no flare shifting!

One other thing, when I was in for the update the Service Manager said not to use AWD for regular everyday driving. Basically, he said use 2 HI for normal driving on dry roads, AWD if its raining or slightly slushy out for extra traction and 4 HI for snow covered roads.

He went on to say that between the traction control, AFM, torque management and AWD, there's too much going on and the truck is trying to do too much - doing none of it well I might add :-)

As you can imagine, this combination of 2 HI & M5 limits torque management & traction control while eliminating AFM.

Taking all of this and putting together, between the transfer case update, M5 mode and 2 HI, I'm in love with my truck ... The way it was meant to be!
