The new front clip has definitely grown on me unlike the 14 & 15 K2 front end, This front clip looks more modern. I think it looks good.

The Fast Lane Truck was there as well with the same design guy in their video driving a 5.3/8 speed here.

Thankfully that front end was not out in 2015 because I would have had a hard time deciding between GMC and Chevy.

The same YouTube poster also has a video of the Chief Designer explaining an LTZ:

Differences I noticed between the LT and LTZ videos:

  • On the LT the light bars below the headlights don't light up white (they only work as amber turn signals) while on the LTZ they light up white then turn to amber when the turn signal is activated.
  • The trim inside the headlights is slightly different (black on the LT and chrome on the LTZ, round projectors on the LT and oval projectors on the LTZ). It doesn't show on these videos but the LS, Work Truck, and Cheyenne also have a different headlight bezel from the LT and LTZ.
  • The power running boards can be moved backwards to reach into the bed WITHOUT opening the doors to make them deploy first (this was a question a lot of people had).

if I remember correctly, Silverado gets HIDs on All Trim Levels.

One review on video said LED on upper trims. Should know soon with them hitting the lots now.

I already posted this in another thread:

Work Truck, LS, LT, Custom -- HID headlights, white LED bars above the grille center, amber LED bars below the grille center

LTZ, High Country -- LED headlights, white LED bars above the grille center, white LED bars below the grille center that change to amber when the turn signals are activated.

For GMC the model cutoffs are:

Base, SLE -- HID headlights

SLT, Denali -- LED headlights
