Concrete Steps

Does anyone have any recommendations for covering concrete steps?

Over winters, our concrete steps have started to deteriorate a little with some flaking material or what not. I know I'd have to take care of the problem areas before I continue. I'm curious to know if anyone has used any of the products available to give their concrete a new life.

^I've used Quikrete resurfacer on my driveway to patch spots caused from winter salt.

I used this on the entrance to my garage where the concrete had chipped away and on a piece that chipped away on my foundation, it works great. You may want to put a sealant on it for the winter to protect it as I see you live in the great white north too.
