Took delivery of my 15' yesterday and they had a line of 16's. I liked the rebates better. Only thing I plan on doing is painting or swapping the front grill and bumper to paint match the body and loose the chrome.

Definitely on the same page as most everyone here. The colour match front end on the 16's look ok but the chrome front end is just too much. I'll take the look of the 14/15's over the 16's any day. I build a 2016 WT blackout same as my 15 and am I ever glad I got mine when I did.

I must be alone here but I really like the '16 LTZ front end which good because that's what I ordered. As someone who is new to GM trucks, the '16 LTZ looks like a more modern take on the '15. I also prefer the full chrome bumper on the '16 to the partially painted '15.

While I would have liked to pay the lower price of a '15, I couldn't find what I was looking for in my area. I plan to keep the truck for many years so I had certain features in mind. I'm bummed about the warranty change but I only drive about 12k miles a year so hopefully it won't matter for me.

everyone likes what they like and no one is wrong for their opinion. that said the reason most of us like the 14/15 is because it has classic truck looks vs modern. we don't want modern. a modern truck does not look like a truck. it looks like a crossover suv. after all crossover suvs have killed the traditional and capable suv. so i guess it is a great sales strategy. next thing they will do is get rid of body on frame trucks and go to a unibody truck!!! there are plenty of us as there is plenty of you, people who want modern. just different strokes for different folks.

I'm really glad some folks like them. I hope they sell like hot cakes. Personally I don't like the LTZ but I want GM to be solid and profitable.

Interestingly enough to me, the all painted front end looks more like an SUV yet it seems to be more popular here than the chrome versions.

I feel the '16 Silverado front end is just like the '03 Silverado front end. Something tacked on for a refresh that doesn't go with the rest of the truck. The grille is horrible in chrome, but too bad when color matched.

Ironically I like the '16 GMC much better than the '14 and '15. I also thought the '03 GMC refresh was decent.

I like the '16 as it modernizes the look to complete with the new F-150 and Ram. However, I have been a fan of the 14+ since I first saw them.

I got a great deal on my '15 and am beyond pleased with my decision. I'll be good until the next generation at least.

I read in an interview with a GM exec that stated GMs approach with the warranty reduction was to better compete in the truck market and by lowering warranty they would be able to lower vehicle msrp. This was obviously a huge lie and I hope they pay for it; with these ugly new models they likely will pay dearly.

I don't understand why they went away from paint matched(I much prefer) on the last few body styles to the 14-15 non paint matched, and then back to paint matched but only partially(still alot of tacky chrome). GM still continues to use those 97 Ford looking 20 inch wheels(Chevy) while the GMC AT gets really cool wheels, but the AT you can't get ventilated seats and they add vinyl to the premium mix! They sell you a vehicle that says All Terrain on a badge and yet put crappy highway tread car tires and low suspension and highway gears.
