StayInYourLayne Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 So I am going to be putting some new Method Mesh 20x9 on my truck, which are +18 offset and I want to get some new, more aggressive looking wheels to go with them. I am thinking of going to 275/60/20 size, but what brands/models do you guys recommend? I kind of like the BFG KO2 and the Nitto TG2, but I would like to keep the quite ride I have.
dbcooper748 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Cant speak aboutthe bfgs, but my Nitto g2 terra graps are awesome so far. I wouldve looked at bfg but they dont make 33" tires for a 22" wheel
dbcooper748 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Not to try and make your selection even harder but also hear good things about hankook dynapro atms. Look into them. They are cheaper cost but get rave reviews on all of the tire website reviews ive read. It was gonna be my next option if i couldnt get my graps for the price i did. The cooper ATs get good reviews as well

dbcooper748 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Sound is just a hair louder than the stock crap-years, but again it is an AT vs street tire. These trucks are insulated so well its negligible really. All ATs are gonna be at least a lil louder. Mileage- seems like i dropped 1-2mpg but thats with the new 22" wheela as well. I believe my exact tire weighs 46lbs

Do you have a level? What about 305/55-20's? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

66nova Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I just put 275/60/20 Cooper Zeon LTZ on mine.
66nova Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 How is the ride and sound? Sound is not bad at all. Of course they are louder than a street tire, but not something that my wife has even noticed. They ride better than the Pirelli scorpions that I had on there before. I'm really happy with this tire!
CFRED70 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I put 275/60/20 Cooper Discoverer ATP on Friday. The ATP is just a slight different tread than the AT3, supposedly the ATP is made exclusively for Discount Tire. If you don't need a super aggressive tire, I think its tough to find a better tire than the ATP. 55k warranty, great look, and even better price. They even gave me $75 a tire for my junk Wrangler RSA's. I don't have a level kit yet, and I just barely rub when at full lock, after a level kit I will have 0 problems.
soltys Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 How come there's no recommendations for anything from Toyo? I like the face that a 275-60-20 tips the scale at 43 lbs. So you can have an upgraded size for only 4 lbs over stock.
rxnotec Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I am about to put some Hercules tires up on mine. Made by Cooper tires and local here to me in MN. Handful of Silveraydo folks here have had awesome luck with these for all season and the winters we experience. Price is hella good too. Under $180 per tire. Also Hercules has free road hazard coverage with the tires.
